Important notice: This method is not a treatment in our case. You should ask medical response if you feel your anxiety is unbearable. But, if your case is mild or you are already familiar with the ways of coping with your mood and willing to be very happy in life, you can give it a try. Otherwise, there are many methods on the internet and Youtube.

As there were no educationally specialized and certificated people in the ancient past of our world, people developed great techniques to deal with their anxiety, depressions, bad circumstances, as the energies that inflict them always existed.

Our 10-minute Ancient Wisdom against Anxiety Method

In this method, we will use two practices from ancient wisdom

1- Mindfulness from Buddhism

2- The Energy of Qi from Chinese or Chi from Thai or Ji from Korean zen (which will be used here as Qi as we simply practice Qigong for the time being)

1- Mindfulness from Buddhism

Mindfulness is a great way to deal with life. It simply consists of one’s mind insisting on concentrating the attention on the breath in any case and whatsoever happens. The feeling of anxiety is not escaped from, it is just allowed to come in a controlled manner.

Here is a great video for practicing mindfulness against anxiety in Buddhism with Master Niels. If you are hesitant about Buddhism, mindfulness has already been brought to the west and people use it without religious references. Just search for it.

2- The Energy of Qi from Chinese zen

Qi may seem an enormously miraculous thing over some practice at first sight. It is the energy within your body. If we are not under the effect of countless illusions, it may provide us with a colossal amount of happiness and wellbeing. It is simply what you normally are. It is the universal goodness that lies within your body. Qi is not a miracle; it is just normality.

There may be times that your mind may not deal with some situations and release lots of “fight and flight” hormones that cause tensions like panic, stress, sweating, or even compulsions, reactions, etc. By using Qi, which is simply the true energy of our body, we can easily help our mind cope with lower energies that cause drawbacks or even troubles in our lives.

Steps:

1- Set your intention to

  • concentrate your attention on the area of your brows shown in the above picture and come back to the practice for ten minutes regardless of the things that distract your mind. Closing the eye may be yield better results.
  • allow any thought to come and not to keep away from it remembering that your reaction is the cause of the trouble.
  • remain calm and insist to return to when anxiety hits.

2- Get grounded (it is important in spiritual practices to remember we are physical beings and a part of nature. Do things like sitting on the ground, breathing air feeling it, watching the sea or forest or the sky, etc. Dr. Laura Koniver is a physician who really likes and teaches the grounding thing).

3- Start massaging the area that you see in the above picture with your hands. Here is a video of our master, Chunyi Lin. The area is the place where the pineal gland releases the serotonin hormone. It is likely that you will feel that good old tingling sensation there.

4- Let anything come to your mind and keep massaging.

5- When the energies hitting are too strong and wild, accelerate your massage a bit more, and when they go (which they always do), return to your gentle massaging.

6- Do it until the tingling sensation eases or disappears, or for 10 minutes with your clock set.

7- Thank your mind and body.

Please remember that spiritual practices take a bit of time to take effect. If you find it useful, practice it for a while like a week or so.

Please remember also that your true nature reveals when those negative energies are removed, which can be shown in the videoof another master.
