An enlightenment practice

An enlightenment practice

As you are reading these pages, you have probably heard and known about many things when it comes to enlightenment. Enlightenment is easy and attainable in countless ways.

Motherhood, worship, serving, pet-owning, meditation, and many other things can lead one to enlightenment.

In our opinion, it has a lot to do with looking inward, which is not very crowded and chaotic as the outside world.

About a decade ago, one of the criteria of the United Nations to recruit its employees was selflessness, which may still be there. While a person’s selves are important, their intention was to hire people who have gotten rid of their ego, which may bring along an understanding of their actual self.

Cherishing others is one of the very first practices of Buddhism, with a view that cherishing self makes one silly.

In our practice, we will use a time when you are not very busy.

In such a time, when you are in a bank or supermarket queue and when it is your turn after waiting, just turn back and say to others: “Is there anyone who is in a hurry? I am not.” You may want to make this a general self-approach as, normally, everyone always has time if dealing with life is the case.

You will see at that time how chaotic our world is, with people bustling about for almost nothing. They just lose the joy and satisfaction of life offered every moment, with such stress and hurry.

Slowing down life is important and can clarify the actual things that can lead to enlightenment..
